Just a bit of a 'summary' about this Florida 'layover' as I await departure day...I came a bit early to avoid any possible winter weather that might make cabin leaving difficult. This south eastern / Ft. Lauderdale area it is not as I remember it from years past / or else I never hit a school holiday period??  I have totally under estimated the number of people camping. These included participating in an International Wine Tasting event, wash and fold laundry (so nice to come and ...

2 Sum (to be renamed) is a great boat, in great condition, but she is not outfitted for cruising. What I mean by that is that her systems, tankage and overall fitout require her to return to marinas every 1-2 weeks. We need to get the boat to the point of being self sufficient, allowing her to remain independent from marinas for 3 or 4 months at a time. Getting a vessel to this point ...

... improves. This is our first rainy day in a long time.

Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 - Sunrise brought the "Celebration" into port behind Moonride (Lee & Nancy) and Vespera (Stan & Kathy) in the foreground. It's a breezy day with winds E-15-25.
