... we initially only paid for two nights. We didn't see any use spending another day in the heat if we didn’t need to. We didn’t need to.

When I got back we loaded up to head to the higher elevations southeast of here. Our goal was to take a look at some of the scenery there on the suggestion of our neighbors Charley and Debbie.

We headed out of town around 10:00 and took the 260 east. The area we were going to was within the ...

I watched for a while and looked at the fittings and did not see where it was coming from. I watched closer and then realized that the tank had a crack in the fresh water tank. I guess it has been leaking for at least a day with the amount of water that was on the floor.

... ask, "Are we there yet?" Enough to drive you nuts, right? Roy finally came up with the idea to split the trip up like a pizza pie. He'd say, "We've still got half a pizza to go or only one slice now!". Somehow that seemed to give her perspective and she wouldn't ask so often. On one trip, Alle and her little friend Kaylin laughed continually the entire way home, which was about 3 1/2 hours! Oh, to ...

We ended the day with a great dinner at Charlie Clarks's Steak house. We ran into an old friend from work, Ron Smith, who is also up here with his family. Ron mentioned he and his family were hiking today not far from the San Juan fire that has flared up east of Show Low. Already 2,000 acres burned. So sad for the families who live in the area and for the beautiful forest in this area.
