... happened to be Ehlenbach's Cheese Chalet down the road. We were like kids in a candy store. So many cheeses and we could sample whatever we wanted! Naturally, we came away with several different varieties (to go with our wine, of course).
Dinner was at the DeForest Family Restaurant with good, home-cooked food (no bar). Back to the hotel for a couple drinks. Very relaxing ...
Never Forget!
We are seeing miles and miles of miles! Every small town has their firetrucks out and flags flying. We have 2 flag on the side windows and 1 on the windshield. We have been able to stop for ggroceries, wine, and other necessities as we travel. The Super Walmart are great as they have aample parking and allow us to stay even overnight if we like. Almost to Brainerd
Well we have had some good travel days, we are about 2 hours from our destination. We stopped for about 30 minutes and took some awesome pictures of the Badlands of North Dakota. Pictures cannot describe how wonderful the scenery was. Highly recommend a trip traveling from North California to Seattle Wa. and finishing it all up in North Dakota. I decided to go through Chicago as I had never seen that city except for a distance. It was cool to drive by a lot of landmarks on my trip. I will definitely go to that city for a visit sometime in the future.
