Made it to Fargo, ND today. It snowed this morning in Wisconsin and we met Emmy's friend for lunch in Minneapolis, MN.
We also stopped at an REI for a few minutes.
Roads in Minnesota this evening were icy in spots and it was very windy, but we went slow and made it here safely.
Sorry, there isn't much else to say since we haven't done any sight seeing yet. Planning on entering Canada tomorrow, so things should become more interesting.

... about the bears" receptionist lady told me about earlier, Lobo's Bar and Grill. I had a delicious fried Walleye sandwich with a very tasty coleslaw and local brew pub beer. The waitress was very nice, but I clearly didn't fit in. There were 8 or 9 hunters in hunting gear sitting at the bar that gave me odd looks as I came it. CC was the only "compact" car in a parking lot of hunting ...
... and CC would be able to get in. The lady on the phone informed me they hadn't plowed because they didn't even get an inch of snow. I couldn't believe it. All day I had been hearing reports about how bad Northern Minnesota was from the Polar Vortex and they had only gotten a dusting at Lake Itasca.
Anyway, I arrived at Lake Itasca and it is beautiful. My next post will be about tonight's adventures. They were a lot of fun.
We left Alexandria, MN on Thursday morning, Sept. 4 but I have to tell you the end of the story about the clothes dryer. While trying to clear the ductwork filled with lint it was discovered that the hose going into the floor to the ductwork had become detached and lint had been blowing in the space between the laundry room floor and the basement ceiling. Yikes! No way to tell how long that had been going on and Bob and Jodi were very fortunate not to have had a house fire because of ...
