5200 miles so far.

Down from San Antonio. So glad the traffic wasn't bad going south. Not much between SA and Corpus, just HUGE fields along both sides of I-37, plus a few oil wells, and more windmills (not like west Texas, but quite a few. Drove through Corpus Christi. Very impressed how large and prosperous looking it is. Course, I …

And there I was, naked, drunk, and floating under the stars . With each gap between waves I thought I was finally at peace with the ocean. Then another wave would come and smack me across the face. It got to the point where I got up, yelled and started letting the waves hit me dead on. If I couldn't be at peace with the water, I was going to prove that I was tougher then it. It didn't take long for a wave to knock me on my ...

... First, there is the Lexington CV2, built in 1927 and sunk in 1942, during action in the south Pacific—it had the name of “Lady Lex”. The aircraft carrier we were on today is the Lexington CV16. It was completed in 1943 and was sent immediately to the Pacific during WWII, nicknamed “The Blue Ghost”—mostly because it was thought to have been sunk while in action, yet in reality, it was a newly constructed ship with the same ...

... where he could play in the sand. It was very crowded so I suggested that we return to the campground and go to the beach area where it hopefully would be less crowded, so I called Bob to pick us up and we started walking to the rendezvous area. Rally Day #2

A travel blog entry by cruisinseniors on Apr 11, 2014

So OK go ahead and ask me what we've been doing today. Are you ready for the answer?

Actually, not too much. The day started normally, weather nice, not too windy, mostly clear with some clouds rolling in later in the afternoon. We ate, ate, and ate some more!!

First eating occurred at breakfast time, of course, but not too much breakfast because we were going out for the Red ...

Very nice hotel. The lady at reception was very helpful (my wife likes to check things out), showed us a room, checked us in, no problem. Convenient, they told us good place for lunch and dinner, all good. Obviously an older property, but very well done. Would definitely return.
