A glass of wine, caramel popcorn and some soppy romantic movies - the next best thing when one is miles and oceans away from their kids on Mother's Day! Had better but let's move on! So we've arrived in Texas and back at work now for a couple of weeks - memories of New Zealand a seemingly distant memory. Back into the car and driving like a natural born Texan, not surprising seeing a I never got behind the wheel in NZ and only once or twice whilst ...

steve - we left Boise and the official trail and took a detour south into texas. Not much going on as it was wide open planes with fields of cerial crops. We navigated a load of trail roads to a small town for a break and then set off for new ...

Following Joe's suggestions for driving along a scenic route was a source of a lot of laughter. We did stop at Salt plains park. We took a nice walk and saw lots of birds and the sounds were beautiful. Lots of birds out on a big lake bed. Drove forever with nothing around. Got very low on gas and found gas station just ...

When we setup our travel plans and reservations we didn't know Joey & Lavonne were going to have a Memorial Day fish fry at Trails End RV Camp. So we're bummed that we are missing all the fun and food! But off we went today at 7am and it ended up being a wonderful day to travel. We saved at least 45min taking the new Loop 49 west to I-20 and then the traffic was extremely light even in ...

The way back to CO. Important travel information!

A travel blog entry by jormaontour on May 05, 2013

After the stay in the park. We stayed for rest in the hotel till midnight. It was very hot and to drive to Colorado is a very strong trip.

We drew around 6 or seven hours to Dalhart. The days here are very hot in the car. It was a good idea to drive over night. In Dalhart we took a cheap motel to sleep some hours.

We started the huge trip over the sunny dessert around 10 am and came to safe zone 5 hours ...
