Today, we took a trip to Roseville - outside of Minneapolis for a little shopping. They have an REI there and we picked up a backpack and walking sticks. We found that walking sticks worked well in Hawaii and after yesterday's hiking, they would work well on the Mainland.

... grounds. Then we headed for Gooseberry Falls. We hiked up to the upper falls and then followed the trail to the lower falls. There was a lot of people just chilling out by the falls. We even seen a cave man. See the attached picture.
We took a couple of other hikes around Beaver Bay and Silver Bay. Once we reached Schroeder, we stopped at the bridge to see yet another falls.
We had dinner on our way back to Hinckley.

... in the high 30's and expected to go below freezing. Looks like we will be dry camping tonight!!
We are staying at the St. Croix River RV Resort about 20 miles north of Hinckley. Attached is a picture of the coach in the campsite.
Lesson Learned - While Sheila and I disagree on the need for a "PLAN", with this trip I rest my case!!

... We were right on the pristine Beaver Dam Lake and shaded by large oak trees. Cooler temps blew in as we snuggled down in our sleeping bags for the night.
