Keep Portland Weird
... Nearly every street downtown has a nice 8 foot wide bike lane, clearly marked and in good condition. At busy intersections with traffic lights they make the cars stop behind a large green area which is reserved for bikes - so bikes have a lane up to the front of traffic and then an area in front of all the cars in which to wait for the lights to change. Sweet! And at one point we were stacked 6 deep waiting at a light! ...
Moving day
10.20am - Moving day today. I'm off to Portland, which is south of here. I hate moving days, it's all about repacking, sitting on buses, carrying heavy backpacks, it's a bit of a chore really.
