... route 59 and anta went to sleep buy woke up a hour later. 59 us interstate in houston and somewhat country roads between conroe (suburb of houston). All 4 girls relaxed And settled in for drive. Daddy had a little issue. His rught leg acted up from doing squats friday at anji's spring party. I was on cookie decorating duty and tables in kindergarten are very low. Knee, hip, thigh, back all locked up from pain just as we left. Thank goodness ...

Next morning's drive confirmed the clerk's explanation. Mile upon unbroken mile of flat desolate land dotted everywhere by oil pumps and oil refineries. A stark and desolate ride.

... is we need to drive through Greater Dallas, so that should be an experience, wish us luck, from Tye we head to El Paso where we plan to spend a few days.

Notes from home is that you lost power so our furnace is still not fixed but supposed to be there tomorrow, be glad when that's done so we don't have to worry about it. Feel kind of powerless when so far from home.
