Texas panhandle
We stopped and camped at Lake McClellan Recreation area located in the McClellan Creek National Grasslands area in Groom Texas. Yet another dry lake and the rivers are dry. There was one local family camping here having a family reunion. The rest of the park was completely empty.

Today we got to do something special. Tommy's friend from high school, Todd Cothran, lives in Colorado Springs, so we met up with his family for brunch. It was incredible timing as his family has completely packed up their home and moving trucks to move to Virginia tomorrow. Todd has taken the job as a minister of a small church near Charlottesville, VA. It was so nice to see him after all these years. He and his wife, Renee, have four great children. ...
