      ... here, we head back into Canada, Okanagan bound where we will spend the summer working a Campground and spending time with our family. The Okanagan was always one of the few places that truly felt "home" for me. Coming over the Connector and having the lake come into view under the rolling hills and vineyards of the valley takes my breath away every time. If you've never been, I highly recommend marking down the Okanagan in your travel plans!

      ... Upper falls in particular were most impressive with deep plunge pools and narrow vertical rock sides to the gorge. Could tell where water level is in flood as there were logs jammed across the river well above current water level. Lower falls also had logs jammed well above water level. Next stop was at Cathedral grove which was a small grove of 100s years old Douglas fir trees. The oldest was 800 years and 76 m high. Quite a giant. Lots of ...

      ... habe ich mir ja eine Holzhuette in der Naehe vom See vorgestellt, aber die Villa liegt direkt AM See, mit eigenem Zugang ueber einen Steg.
      Mir war ja aufgrund von Pat's doch schon fast uebertriebenem Sportdrang klar, in eine extrem aktive Familie geraten zu sein. Dass der Steg ein (hammergeiles) Motorboot, ein kleines Wakesurfbrett und Wakeboard, ein Standuppadelboot, ein kleines Einerkajak und zwei Ruderboote aufzuweisen hatten, ueberraschte mich deshalb nicht.

      ... tour for Saturday. The girl we spoke to also works part time for the whale watching company we picked and had nothing but great things to say about them. Fingers crossed we see some orcas!! Then we caught the bus to downtown and just strolled around - Ben wasn't keen on walking again after yesterday's big hike haha.
