    ... After lunch we headed up to the Citadel shopping outlets, which have huge stores from all the major brands. Following that we went to LA for one of the highlights of our trip - an LA Lakers preseason basketball game at the Staples Centre!     ... much vegetation an few interesting elements to see. We finally saw some very small vineyards. We were heading to Julian, the home of famous apple pies! We saw so few apple trees we think they must be importing apples from Washington. We stopped and tried three varieties of pie at Mom's. We had flaky, crumb, and sugar free. Crumb wins! As we leave town I saw a cute sign. It read: Drive Slow. Old Folks Crossing. That might be what we need at DWLP.
