Needed lots of ID but I had it and got $100. Next stop was at Ed and Karlene in Aumsville – this time they were home, and we had a good visit. Then really randomly, it turns out a Swiss girl I travelled with for 2-3 weeks in Colombia, two years ago happened to fly into Portland the previous day (noticed on Facebook) so met up with her, had some (wait for it...) ... was fun, bought stuff that we can't find in AZ. Then it was time to hit the road. All the way through Oregon it rained on us. Off and on, no heavy rain, just light showers. Interstate 5 has way to many big trucks!   Champoeg State Park is a very nice park. Lots of Blue Birds here. It a heritage area so lots of history here. Its in the middle of farm land. About 7 miles from freeway, well worth the ...
