    ... was in time for a great chicken salad that Don concocted with everything imaginable in it, even blueberries. It was very good and he had made a very big bowl, but we ate almost all of it along with some hot biscuits. Phil called and we finally made contact long enough to talk. Or in my case, to listen!

    ... a few miles from Lake Oswego where Carmen, Sam and the boys used to live. It was so hot we decided to have a lazy afternoon and found a lovely little park where we must have made a strange sight as all five of us sat and read in the shade! We rounded the day off with dinner out at the California Pizza Company in a local shopping village and an early night ready for tomorrow's long drive.

    ... was fun, bought stuff that we can't find in AZ. Then it was time to hit the road. All the way through Oregon it rained on us. Off and on, no heavy rain, just light showers. Interstate 5 has way to many big trucks!   Champoeg State Park is a very nice park. Lots of Blue Birds here. It a heritage area so lots of history here. Its in the middle of farm land.
