    ... idyllic. We sought out the Truman home(closed) the library and museum ( little or no parking and pouring rain ). As we wandered around in the rain we came across a building that looked like a soft serve ice cream. It turns out that it is the world headquarters of the Community of Christ. This is an offshoot of the Mormons who have a visitors center across the street and who plan to build their own temple there someday. Sounds like dueling Mormons to me. Very early ...

    I guess this day kinda overlaps with the last entry but oh well. We took off at 3am, stopped at 5am and realized how uncomfortable we were hahaha luckily the gas station had a photo op so we let off some steam there. Then we slept to the next stop- Burger King breakfast. Oh it was so good. Then we slept some more until 10:30, then broke out Maureen's license plate game. ...

    ... paneer, jeera rice and raita. After a sumptuous lunch we started to drive again and our next stop was coffee in Lincoln, NE. then we drove straight to ames and had delicious dinner made and kept by Supraja for us. so we reached home and all in all we drove 5858miles :-)

    ... We didn't ride the tram thing to the top though. It's supposed to be these little cars that seat 4 people and if you're at all claustrophobic, they say don't go. I'm not claustrophobic exactly,but I have no desire to get in that tiny little cramped car and then be stuck at the top of that arch. Umm, no thanks.

    We left the arch and here's where we picked up our version of Christie Brinkley and her red Ferrari ...
