March ,12 - Today was girls day out. Marsha and I went to Hemphill for an afternoon of girl stuff - shopping and beauty salon. We went to some interesting shops including a clothing store, health food store and one of the local nurseries where we met Mr. River Phoenix (that was the name the owners had given him) there was a Mrs. also. He was such a beautiful rooster that I had to include it in this travelogue.

The hardest part will be to fabricate the assembly to hold the lights, and to figure out how to mount it to the bike. ... guy who cuts the hay around-about Hucks estate and he kindly gave MJ a short trip on the back of his jet-ski. It's like motor biking on water. Fab. Once we got back to Hucks we had an excellent BBQ by the river (with MJ falling off the wagon via a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale) followed by another shorter trip back up the river where Kathy and MJ took a swim in the warm murky river for about 30 minutes. It was really blissful. Evening was more dominos.
