We were awakened by a extremely loud air raid siren this morning. The City of Nachitoches (nak-a-tish) has a very loud siren system with recorded announcements throughout the downtown area. Thoughts of impending London air raids, armageddon or tornados went through our heads until we heard the loudspeakers throughout town, warning of lighting strikes from the incoming thunder storms.
