We left Black Lake today and headed toward Vermont. We didn't make it.
We did, however, drive through the Adirondacks and somehow managed to drive into the bike portion of an Ironman race. No, I mean we drove into it! Imagine how those guys on bikes felt after swimming for 2.4 miles, then trying to ride their bikes for 112 miles, only ...

We drove back to our campsite to spend our last night at the Adirondak Loj. Another early night as we will be breaking down camp in the morning for Burlington, ...

During the Revolutionary War the larger of the two had served as a hospital for General Washington's army camped at Morristown, while the second was a casket factory. The first burned in the 1920’s, the second met a similar fate in the early 60’s while my brother was ...

The border crossing

A travel blog entry by b_btravel on Mar 28, 2014

... border patrol person. Thankfully he was lovely and went through everything with us before happily stamping our passports, taking our border crossing fee and sending us on our way. So that was it, we were in America. Yay! Tonight we are staying in Tupper Lake, a cute little town in New York State. From here we will head across to the east coast of Maine. The first time we have seen the ocean in a while and maybe the first time the temperature does not get below freezing. Maybe... Bec ...
