As we drew closer to Chicago the weather got worse. Driving rain quickly settled on the concrete highways and navigation through the thick spray became tricky with the myriad of lane changes and exits required on the multi-lane approach. One lane change upon seeing a late exit sign almost resulted in high drama as the car aqua-planed into the next lane which was thankfully unoccupied!... We don't talk about that though!
