Day 12: today we travelled. had our last breakfast in real de catorce at meson de la abundancia...I had swiss-mexican roesti...very good. we started in real de catorce pretty much around noon and without much upfront planning we arrived to chihuahua within 18 hours. detailing this trip it was 2 hours back to matehuala, 4 hours to monterrey and 8 hours to chihuahua...all by bus, pretty neat. ... and the city behind, as the sun starts to arrive and we encounter our first toll on the 400 highway heading west to Monterrey, our first of around 3000 pesos of tolls, at 40 to 200 pesos each, sometimes coming fast and furious.
True to form, I am leaving these diatribes short and sweet, but more excitement is on the way along the little travelled road of the 40/400 heading west and south towards Mazatlan.

... a water park that we stay in every time we come this way. It has hook up for RVs. We stayed at Chris and Juan's for 4 days in Monterrey, They had a really nice place for us to park the motor home and Chris took us all over the city. Juan cooked a great meal and we had so much fun.
Today we were just casually chilling on our terrace when suddenly all hell broke loose around us, or respectively in the mountains close by. Luckily we were spared and stayed dry, and therefore we all had our cameras out to take some pictures. It took me about 250 pictures, but I managed to snap a few lightnings as well ...
