    ... fishing while Michelle wandered around the headland where she watched the ospreys catching dinner and taking it back to the nest. Shell was trying to catch Blue Swimmers just up from us. Chris and I both caught 5 fish but only 1 worth taking home so we decided to let it go as Chris was making a nice baked dinner for our last night.

    Back at the house we cleaned up the car as it was going back tomorrow and played some more Mario cart after going up the road for ice cream ...

    ... outskirts of the city where we had so heartlessly abandoned Wilson on Saturday, and nipped across the highway to see the now open mechanics. They were incredibly helpful and after initially coming across to see Wilson and check if they could actually fix him right there in the car park, they realised they couldn't and organised a tow across and have us a reasonable quote. If Wilson had broken down the other side of the highway, the same side as the mechanics, we could have saved ...

    ... This was our last night in Marian, so Aunty Cath made sure she fed us well. On our way south we stopped at Sarina at the sugar shed. This is a model mill (set alongside the full size mill) showing the process the cane goes through to prepare it for shipping. As we had only seen the cutting component up to this point, this tour gave us a chance to understand the actual processing side. Another full day of travel, but not huge distances, saw us arrive into Yeppoon about5.30pm. ...

    We had a pretty uneventful day of travelling. More roadworks, which is a good thing as the Bruce Highway does need a 'makeover'. The new tow vehicle (Ringo the Ranger) seems to be doing a pretty easy job of towing the van (as expected). We are a lot more confident this time on the road. We stopped at the Waverley Creek Rest ...
