    ... Butterfly was gobsmacking! They were literally everywhere when the sun was shining! So surreal to be walking around and have hundreds of butterflies fluttering around your head! We absolutely loved every precious minute of it!

    A gorgeous beach to walk although the sand was quite soft and made for hard going but was well worth the effort. Huge tides here as well made for very interesting and ever changing ...

    ... sandy dust making us think it had been caused when the luggage had to be removed at Dubai when the sick passenger left the plane. Ahh well 7 months of travel and this is the worst thing that happened to our luggage, big deal.

    Due to the delays at immigration we only had a short timeframe to make our domestic connection to Mackay and in the end we made it with about 15min to spare.

    About half an hours drive north of mackay near nothing. It was a lovely small park, drive through grass sites, easy. Set up, did some washing and after that it was happy hour, the weather was nice and the drink was going down quite nice. The amenities not modern but very clean the sites were all nicely mowed.     ... couple of Chinese women appeared, one the same age as the man we had seen, one slightly younger. They set about cooking an elaborate meal which called for long and quick dialogues and much hand waving, maybe a mother showing her daughter she was doing it wrong?
