Today was the last day of the trip, and luckily it was the best day to hike on Mount Shasta. Today was the only day there were no clouds over Mount Shasta, so it worked out perfect for us to hike on the mountain today. I had planned a trip to a sacred meadow called Squaw Meadow or also known as South Gate Meadow.

... for the night. I never knew that I-5 through western Oregon was so dry and hot! All the grass was brown and the temperature was about 95F. The air conditioning in our car was greatly appreciated! It's time to pull up stakes and head north. We have about 750 miles left to get to Bellingham, WA where we will be storing our coaches while we take our Alaska Cruise Tour. Since we have to be in Bellingham by the 14th we'll put sightseeing aside until our return from Alaska.

Our drive up into Northern California was just beautiful! It just amazes me how incredible this state is for it's natural beauty and range of options.

    We really liked our stay here... The room was much bigger then most best western's.
