A good overnight visit with my Aunt & Uncle on the ranch in Yreka... with a little time to check on my tree... before a coffee at the new Starbucks and quick walk along Miner Street...
Then I headed to Medford for lunch and to get Milton at MFR.
A Buddhist Monastery, and fantastic country drive, Stewart Springs and to my Aunt & Uncle's in Yreka, with great views of Mt . Shasta.
... Uncle's house in Lincoln, CA for a wonderful visit, followed by dinner at their clubhouse with my cousin and her husband. We checked in with Mark, the owner of Eden Vale Inn, who also is my cousin, to get directions. Still using Google Maps, my navigator takes us on a completely different route but we get there anyway in 45 minutes. After staying up late having a couple glasses of wine and catching up with Mark and Gayle, we finally hit the hay about 11:30 ...

... at DQ again for some breakfast. After carbo loading we headed to the crater! It was only a short 3-4 hr drive. As we pulled out of the woods we got to climbing. Unfortunately it was pretty much a straight uphill climb with a pretty steep ascent. The Jeep held its ground for a while....but without a break in the climbing the temp gauge started to climb higher. I was getting nervous. I just needed it to hold for crater ...
