Best Western Milwaukee Airport Hotel & Conference Center

I'm working on a grant for the National Institutes of Health that is due early next week. Once that's done, it's full-on preparation for our month-long Journey to India. Daisy is doing her Santa impression (making her list, checking it thrice) and we received 4 new pieces of luggage the other day.

The airline tickets are booked and now we just have to finalize some domestic trips while on the sub-continent.

Exciting times! One more day before the big trip and we are doing out last minute preparations before we go. There are things to be packed though and that will get done tonight and then a little bit more tomorrow. We have an evening flight so we should be pretty well rested and ready to scout about Copenhagen as soon as we get checked into the hotel.

Presently, Wisconsin is very chilly. I feel like it's October, rather than August. The high is in the very low 60's! Today I've just been working around the house, making bread, washing jackets and getting my room clean.

That's all I got for now, but will write more when I have more!

Thanks to Rob for allowing me to stay in his baller ass apartment situated directly on top of a bar, I got to experience the greatness that is Milwaukee (when the weather is nice). I got to hit up a few brewery tours, some sweet bars (spy bar!), cheap beer wasn't hard to find, finally tried out P90X (ouch) and I even experienced the Blink182 ...

We were lucky to Have Suzie's Aunt LouAnn dump us off at the Amtrak station at the Milwaukee Airport. Even luckier for us was for LouAnn and Uncle Mike to let us dump our car at their house! We boarded our train on schedule and our big huge circle of a trip had begun!

... the same thing, "there would be a computer ready for me whenever I could pick one up." So much for that. After a whole bunch of complaining on my part and some negotiating on Dad's part we ended up with a gift card for a restaurant visit, an extra battery for my old computer, and a reimbursement for our hotel visit. ... I hit my mark! We were late getting in and there were no rental cars available when we arrived. We stood in a hot garage waiting for someone to return a car so we could get to the hotel. Oh my, I was steaming, both physically and emotionally. We ended up getting to the room at 2:30 a.m. Las Vegas time. We were supposed to be in our room and vacationing at 6:00 p.m.! The best laid plans....
