Lake Mead to Mesquite
... really spicy chicken and a fruit assortment, beer of course and my stomach feels much better now. Saw a couple bike tourers coming into town, while I went on my shopping spree. Didn't have a chance to talk to them but I'm sure I will meet them on the road tomorrow. Well, I should be sleeping well tonight in my cheap, but air conditioned motel. Tomorrow will be a rather short riding day to St George where I plan to hang out for a couple days before my real bike trip ...

In einer Schlucht traf ich dann schließlich ein amerikanisches Ehepaar. Die Frau versuchte zunächst die Aufschrift meines T-Shirts zu entschlüsseln. "Deutscher Meister" geht den Amis eben nicht so leicht über die Lippen. Wir unterhielten uns fortan über unseren Nationalsport "Soccer". Die Frau schien zumindest wenig Ahnung davon zu haben. Ich musste ihr erst deutlich machen, dass ich selber nicht ...
Dernier projet : Lake Mead (again)
Voilà ! Mon septième projet pour ACE s'est achevé hier. Il ne me reste plus qu'une semaine à présent avant mon vol de retour vers Paris. Pour ma dernière semaine de travail je suis donc retourné à Lake Mead avec une soixantaine d'autres volontaires. Heureusement, on a été séparé en 5 groupes de 12 et affecté à plusieurs endroits. Du coup, contrairement à ce que j'imaginais, on est resté en petits groupes ...
Cinquième projet : Lake Mead
... ce qui nous a fatigué mentalement et physiquement à petit feu. Le travail en lui-même consistait à installer une nouvelle clôture sur une certaine zone pour délimiter le parc national et protéger la faune et la flore des élevages environnants tout en laissant circuler librement les animaux sauvages.
