In keeping with my plans to not stay in one place too long, it was time for quick trip to visit my "Kountry Sister" in Springfield, Tennessee.

The evening meal was absolutely superb and we have enough left over for another meal tomorrow night. As we near sunset the temperature is dropping. Looking up to the thermometer the mercury is right at 70. Perfect.

When we make good time as we had today we tend to want to take risks such as going on to the next town, another 30 miles away. Today we were brought to our senses when the clouds rolled in sooner than expected. A half mile before our hotel, we spotted a sign that designated the 'Crash Site of Patsy Cline' 3 miles down the side road (6 miles to us! ...

We are cruising Kentucky Lake today, having arrived yesterday morning when we locked through Barkley Lock and Dam on the Cumberland River. After anchoring two nights on the Mississippi and traveling up the Ohio Tuesday, it was good to get to wide open spaces. However, the waves and wind were rough yesterday with 3 to 4 foot swells. On this day the pilothouse proved to be a preferable helm station in rough water than the fly bridge.

Tuesday night we had a ...
