Couldn't raise them for the shuttle bus, had to get a taxi. Ugh. Basic, but fine.

          More Sunday Highlights

Sunday morning started with a visit from our son, Archie with his two sons, Kai and Delfin. Archie wanted to see his two ninangs, Sally and Ruth, who he had not seen for several years. Delfin found a penny on the carpet in the living room which I put in his pocket as his lucky penny.

Sure enough, Pons came out of his room and placed a $20 dollar bill in his pocket. Soon enough, both Kai and Finn were recipients of everyone's generosity. As ...

Today was the day I headed out onto an all day tour to the Grand Canyon. I was collected from the hotel just after 6. We were taken to the tours terminal to be briefed and given our tour guide. We had Felix. I upgraded by skywalk ticket to also todo the helicopter and boat experience - this was breath taking. It was a long day, so ...

... was still boiling. No sleeping bag for me that night. Just before bed it started to pick up a slight warm wind and a storm was going on in the distance. It was incredible. For miles and miles you could see forked lightening, not just one either, about five at the same time. I had never seen anything like it. That was definitely a highlight for me. Yellowstone National Park So we eventually arrived at Yellowstone to be greeted with a big storm as we were cooking dinner that ...

... a door, tip for booking, tip for receiving packages. TIPS FOR EVERYTHING!

So saved in the nick of time, we ordered room service to celebrate our brief visit to Vegas, tipped the guy who delivered our food (how does he get the same tip for someone who takes our orders, brings our food and does all that??).

In the end I bet $1 and lost it. Guess i'll have to earn my fortune another way. I think we used up all our luck getting my licence back just in time.

We had a fairly relaxing day on Friday which we didn't think would be something we would say in Vegas. We ventured into the Casinos, although it's not like you can avoid them, here at New York New York, Mandalay Bay and Luxor resorts. I had a pretty successful go on the slot machines. I was explaining to Nigel that I had no idea what I was doing while putting my $5 in the machine, the next thing I knew it started flashing and making a noise and came up with a 250 credit still not ...
