    ... Lake, Rancho Del Rea CA and back to the reality of the big city. I stopped to put gas in the bike and found I had to buy the gas first, and if I didn't guess correctly, I would have to go back in and get change for the difference. OK. I purchased $9.00 worth of gas figuring I could top off the tank. I got 2 gallons. Then I looked at the price and, surprise, $4.50/gallon. Welcome to California.

    We are now finishing up our first week at the beach house.



    Weather is sunny and about mid-teens. There is a cool breeze off the ocean otherwise it would be a lot warmer. During the day shirt sleeves are fine but in the evening a fleece is definitely in order.

    ... Seaworld' is perhaps an understatement as a visit to Seaworld is a fun, entertaining but exhausting day. Although the park wasn't at full capacity the queues for the rides were more than an hour so we skipped those and just viewed all the aquariums and attended all the wonderful shows.     This morning we were up early at 7.00 and on the road by 8.00 arrived at Legoland by 9.00 and got early check in.
