    ... nice roads. Not quite the remote desolation we exprienced in Argentina. Sadly a rather large wildfire hit the area a few days after we passed through, causing some evacuations, but no major damage.

    ... a woman stopped her car and asked us if we would like a ride down. Such lovely people. We declined. This would never happen at home in the US.

    A very important chore this week was to get haircuts for both Henk and I. Several salons in Renaca to choose from; however, there was a definite language barrier. So I used Google translator to write down several key phrases, ie, trim, layers, etc. It worked!
