      ... sidewalks...everyone was very badly burned...the seats from the bikes hurt our butts...it was a disaster. BUT with that being said, it was incredibly worth it, as it was one of the most beautiful places I've seen and everyone got some AMAZING pictures. I can't wait for everyone to see!!

      ... the cobbled stoned roads become quite steep and a difficult climb. Our hostel was incredibly cute on a cobbled stone street with colourfully painted steps leading to the front door. Our room was basic with a bed and small desk but also an adorable window with a great view and a calming breeze.       ... stone gem carvings. It is a deep blue, opaque stone, spattered with white sparkles and is called Lapislazuli. It is only found in Chile and Afghanistan and is really beautiful. I somehow resisted the urge to buy myself anything from the shop...the drunken ladies, however, did not.       We had finally arrived in Chile, home of half of Andrea's heritage and a destination which in our original plans was going to be our first stop around the world.
