We're staying on the 28th floor of a highrise overlooking the city. The view is magnificent. We have to use the key fob to get into the building, and again to get up the lift, and a door code to get in to the apartment, so we feel fairly secure. Not quite like Banff where everything was left unlocked! Our host is very welcoming. It's not every unit that has a beer keg on tap in the kitchen! "Just help yourself."

After settling in at the Fairmont Hotel, we went on a walk along Canada Place (Vancouver Convention Centre) and onto Coal Harbor; the North side of Vancouver. There were 3 cruise ships docked at Canada Place and watching how the baggage was being loaded; I will ensure all breakable items ...

Although it is a little depressing that the trip is over and we will be going back to the reality of work soon it is nice to be home and spending time with family and friends.
