Best Western Majestic City Center Santiago

Santiago is a large, extremely hot city I found out. In the days, temperatures are around the mid to late 30´s, and the only time it lessens is at five in the morning, for an hour, where you need to put your blankets on your bed, to kick them off an hour later. We flew into Santiago from Punta Arenas and took the transfer bus from the airport to Los Heroes Metro station and then walked to the hotel. It was quite a hot afternoon and more of a walk than it looked on the map with bag!

I´ve been in Santiago 5 days now and it´s been great so far! My first impressions weren´t so good because I stayed at a Best Western in downtown Santiago the first night. Unlike a lot of Latin American cities, the downtown here is not so nice and people keep telling me not to go there.
