      ... a handy dandy mat!

      We had to set up in the rain and our planned bbq ended up being a pan fry. Of course that got the fire alarm going so that battery was removed! Oh well! We'll put it back before we head out again. :-)

      ... the A1A. The 95 is the interstate and filled with tolls and boring driving. The 1 is nice but mostly goes through the town strips so pretty much Wal-Marts and McDonalds and Starbucks everywhere. The A1A on the other hand is where you get the nice views. It's a slow drive but that’s a good thing as you get a chance to look at the beaches and all the humungous houses that line the coast. There are a million places to park and go for a quick stroll ...

      ... the 10th floor overlooking the Daytona beach and Joe's pier. It was a spectacular view around us, both beach & street side. We had 2 double beds in a large room. It was still warm, 83* and the sun breaking thru the clouds. We made most of it being dry and went for a walk along the beach towards the pier. Andy went in the sea, surf was well up & had some big waves coming in. He didn't go out too far, easily seeing it was rough out there. It was not too far to walk ...
