Not enjoying Tampico

A travel blog entry by benneal on Dec 03, 2012

We arrive in Tampico tired and get a taxi out to a hotel that no longer exists. We arrived back in Mexico on Sunday the 12th of September. It was a great trip down from Portland but we were very tired. We drove about 10 hours every day. See why we love it here. The brothers are really wonderful. Anyway, I will try to show some pictures of our travels through the US. It was so beautiful.

... pulled over by the military to check our bags and panniers. A soldier asked Des for documents. Des said I had them, and pointed in my direction. When the soldier came to me, I raised my visor and face mask of my helmet and he asked me a question. I told him we were from Australia travelling to Alaska. He asked me something else and I said my registration papers were in my back pannier, and did he want to see them? It was obvious, to both of us, that we ...
