Best Western Lighthouse Suites Inn Ocean Shores

Took a trip out to Washington with some of the family and just hung out. Pacific Beach is a nice, quiet little town. The weather was great considering the time of year. The rain held off until the last day which meant I could take a stroll on the beach everyday. I found myself staring out the patio door of the cottage at the ocean almost constantly. And the sunsets....well, you be the judge.

We see the ocean! It is foggy as we cruise through the Kalaloch campground on a bluff above the beach, lots of RV's and people just enjoying the view. It is so damp, and so beautiful. The beach is full of tree trunks, brought by rain-swollen rivers over the years and dumped on the coast, bleached bone-dry by the sun ...

Drove from Eatonville, WA to Ocean City, WA. About 115 miles and weather changed from warm and sunny to cloudy and mist. I just remembered why we love the desert. We are staying at TTN/LTR Ocenia RV Park. This is our home park, where we joined in 1985 as member #38.

They kept looking at me so didn't get a decent 1 but got a few while they searched the guys bag. The copper put the guys bike in the car then asked if I was alright. ... time to write something, not too long obviously, but a couple of snippets. He's sorry everyone's going to hear about his pancaked body, so maybe something light. There really is so much beauty, even flapping away up here with his eyes streaming and fingers going numb. His daughter is somewhere, too. ... some great clam chowder. Yea! It really was fun. [Bob made the clam chowder and it was outstanding!] Westport is pretty much removed from everything and it takes quite a while to get anywhere. It takes one and one half hours just to get to I-5. The scenery along the way makes it all worth while. We made several attempts to get to Mt. St. Helens but it was "closed." It's still winter up there. The visitors centers are still closed and one time ...

So this was the first time we had packed up in the rain and it went just fine except we got wet. We kinda expected to drive out of the rain as all we have experienced on this trip is short showers of varying heaviness. This was more like UK rain where its gentle and constant. We drove north and the rain stayed with us ALL the way, it rained and rained, did I mention its was also COLD!! For 2 boys ...

... He once drank 18 bottles of wine in a day. Another time he drank a quart of wine in 16 seconds. It took him 40 seconds to drink the second quart. Hurrah for Ollie!!
