      Off today to Hoover Dam. A short journey from Las Vegas broken up by a stop at a motel in nearby Boulder City to leave our luggage in a room. A room that time forgot with shag pile and a massive jacuzzi in the room as well as a separate bathtub in the toilet enclosure. All the better to watch tv from the bubbles apparently. Anyway we rented it by the hour to leave our suitcases as since 911 security is tight ...

      ... to rave about, so it was such a pleasant surprise!). We chatted briefly about their tour which they were doing in 21 days stopping at ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING and boasted that there would be only 32 miles of route 66 that they wouldn't have travelled (we assumed this to be the stretch on private land).       ... in awe of how amazing it was. We were walking along the edge (with no barriers) for 2 hours and could not believe that something this size actually exists. It was huge! We also realised that we had driven past the Skywalk on the way to Sedona, as it was not on The South Rim as we had thought... bugger! We will have to get it on the way back. We watched the sunset into the Canyon, and then put our next destination into the sat nav. Oh... a very long way... ...

      ... me & I was hallucinating. It's the closest thing we'll get to riding a Wonkervator. Decided to walk back to our hotel & discovered three or four travelators - think it was definitely easier than the monorail. Took one last time to gamble after putting Jordan to bed.
