Getting to Sequoia and travelling away from it to get to the hotel, we drove through miles and miles of orchards (Apples and tons of nuts), really pretty.
... did including a chocolate cake. Then the next day, Suzi and her husband Frank came down from Tehachapi and took me out for dinner at a Basque restaurant, which was very nice.
I also went up to Suzi's a few more times, including helping her move into their new house in Bear Valley Springs (a 'suburb' of Tehachapi). They had been renting a house for the last year and a half ...

Other than that our day was marvelous. The other HD shops were nice and we were even able to stop and have lunch at one of them,

That was really weird. Here is what's even weirder.
At the next light, I said, "Isn't it amazing how I could change that light?"
When I said the three words "change that light", the light changed.
Both my sisters denied it.
We got lost in Bakersfield later. We made it back to our hotel OK.
