      We had a picnic lunch & sat & read for the afternoon!! Had intended on another walk when it cooled down but didn't get "around tuit"! There is a riflle range in the park & we could hear pop, pop in the distance, which doesn't go well with all the lovely bird song we listened to like this Curved Bill Thrasher ...

      ... and snack. There was a Park Station that had some cliff dwellings about 700 years old but since it was the hottest part of the day and quite a steep climb and had bee problems we just looked thru the binoculars.

      We continued until the road turned from Route 188 to 88 at the Roosevelt Dam and bridge. The bridge was built around 1985 so that the traffic could continue on Route 188 since shortly down the road which runs next to Apache Lake the road turns to dirt ...

      ... still ahead by 1. Dinner at Yen Ching and good as usual. I love the chicken salad with the honey/lime dressing. Home to relax. Phil spilled beer in refrig so had to wash it! He also cracked his head on the freezer door.
