... I did the usual, and headed over to The Barracks in Cathedral City for the very popular beer bust and BBQ. I keep forgetting that I really don't like it. Not sure why, just don't. They were taking people first come, first serve for the triage which I guess is fair. For a twosome who barely touched fish 12 months ago, unless it was sponsored by Princes, we are trying more. And this is a Hawaiian fish, delicious and very meaty. ... the gym. Erin had caught Kev's cold so was resting up. After the workout and breakfast we put the AFL on (Fremantle vs essendon). We were able to watch a replay, ad free, on kevs laptop which we plugged into the hotel plasma to display on the big screen. Pretty sweet set up. Unfortunately freo lost a close game but it was still enjoyable to watch and have a few drinks before the concert. We then headed off to Coachella for the day (first day of the three day festival). ...

We've been keeping an eye on our flights back home to Sydney from Los Angeles and, surprise surprise, the availability of seats is looking dubious already. We have decided to cancel our extra day here in the USA, when we had planned to visit Santa Barbara, and fly to Japan instead. It's definitely the long way around, but it least it will be much less stressful.
