    Nach den harten Etappen zur Überwindung des Pazifiks lassen wir es jetzt etwas gemütlicher angehen.     ... us a hug. (At one point they had to move out again as a seaplane was landing.) It was just that sort of crew & cruise. It amazes us all that today the crew will be busy stripping all the cabins and organising supplies, etc and be ready with their usual smiles to welcome the next lot of passengers at 4 pm without having a break. They do this continuously from May through to September.
    Our bags were brought up for us, along with an Alaskan Dream Cruise ...

    ... the steering and we managed to follow in the general direction of the others lol, we managed to avoid the rocks and around the headland. I had clearly left my sea legs and was feeling pretty queasy as the waves rocked us in all directions, :#.

    Everything from the shops, houses and restaurants is all built up on wooden or concrete piers and connected by bridges. The new main town area is simply a massive flat concrete slab supported on stilts in the water. When walking here its hard to believe one is actually above water but every now and again one sees a gap and there below is the sea of water.
