This morning we docked at 10am in Ketchikan. What a pretty town built all on the water with lots of stairs up to houses back from the water. We walked through town checking out last minute bargains & enjoying the beautiful sunshine. ...

It is just that the tour guide was one to get us to be a little crazy waving to people, quacking our quackers (plastic duck quackers) as I have seen groups do in Seattle. Then again that just might be a factor of how Alaska does things or the fact that we had a fairly older group on the tour. Anyways we enjoyed the hour and half and learned a lot about Ketchican.

... The band playing was the same one playing all week. The theme for the night was 80’s music. During the 2 hours I was there, they played about 8 songs that my band, Radio X, plays. It would be fun to play music full time on a cruise ship, but I doubt our creditors and families would appreciate us leaving home to have fun on the high seas. The band kept the dance floor pretty full. I really enjoyed watching them.

My food coma set in around 1:30 and I was ready ...

Arrived at Ketchikan and after breakfast went out to be picked up for our floatplane ride through the Kenai Fjords National Park. The company we are using so called Island Wings and we have a woman pilot, Michelle. She has 23 years of experience doing this so we feel safe. The other passengers are a family of 5. The takeoff from the harbor is smooth and ...
