Being close to our final destination (Anchorage) and a day ahead of schedule for this leg of the trip we explored the local areas between Palmer and Wasilla. While you can make the trip between the towns in 13 miles we did a 100 mile plus route that took us over a beautiful mountain pass (up to Fishook on map shown up top). This required 40 miles …

After church today we went to the Iditarod Headquarters. Very interesting information on the research leading to the excellent care and maintenance of those racing sled dogs.

... person about where we had been and done on our holiday.
We arrived at 6:30 at our Lake Lucille B & B. It is gorgeous. Lots of quilts, but tastefully displayed and other folk art touches. We have a large bedroom, bathroom and full lounge room. The house is a 3 storey place on the edge of the lake. Another great find. We went back into town to Carl's Jnr for burgers for dinner then back to catch up on the diary and videos. It is super fast internet here which is a ...

... clothesline that runs across the camper and have used it several times to dry small things out when it's not sunny outside. We have little hooks here and there and we use spring loaded curtain rods in corners and small spaces for extra hanging space. The bathroom that houses our porta-potty is just a converted closet and there is a lot of room in there for creative storage.

As I mentioned in a previous post, the camper is OLD and she is not meant for some of ...
