    From Roswell we drive to Carlsbad Caverns. The caverns are on the Unesco world heritage list, so we decide to pay them a visit. Located 250 meters under ground are loads of stalagmites, stalactites, draperies, soda straws and popcorn. Soda straws being the tiny ones hanging from the ceiling . In Europe we call them Spaghetti. Popcorn are located on the ground. The cavern is beautiful, but we saw an even more beautiful cavern in Slovenia last year, so were a little spoilt. ...

    ... station piped Christmas music appropriate to the theme was played. We had an enjoyable picnic lunch and tried their espresso coffee - a mistake! They also have a children's section but Larissa and Aiden are a little to young to appreciate. The park is quite spectacular and would provide a unique experience in either Spring or Autumn.
