Chuck wanted to see his Uncle Ron and he was going to be at his cabin on Lake Muskelunge. We had no idea where it was or the address but we used the iPad and drove around until we found a sign by the road. So, we surprised them. Had a great Wisconsin dinner with Brats, burgers and fresh apple pie. It was great to see them!

Drove to northern Wisconsin to Upper North Woods campground. Just beautiful. ************e in park-self registration. Loons, beaver huts, all quiet on and around Clear Lake. Biked into pretty Minoaqua, a town about 6 miles away. People vacation here from Illinois-mainly Chicago. Healthy economy. Resort area. Stayed 2 nights. ...

Today is Pat's 75th birthday! Gave her a call while we still have good cell service. She sounds so happy and is looking forward to a fun weekend with James and all her kids. Wish we could have made it there for her special day but the timing didn't work this year.... Packed up for a long travel/sightseeing day. Rib Lake turned out to be a nice little town, and the camp has apparently not been discovered by anyone, because I was the only guest. 74-year host Dean, a former U.S. Marine, welcomed me, and I found a nice site and set up camp.
