Laguna Beach - Where the beauties live

It was nice to drive out of the mountains and see the ocean again. I don't know why or how, but any time I see the ocean my spirit lifts and my heart makes a little jump. Highway 1 would take us through Santa Barbara, Santa Monica and land us in Laguna Beach. A fitting name to describe the route would be "Don't touch anything, because you can't afford to pay for it". Why even tease myself with this area? Cause it's sooooooooo pretty! We enjoyed our drive and had planned carefully not to hit a...

Back to Anaheim - the end of Contiki!

... Western, which is where our tour ended. Shelly and I didn't have anywhere booked for the next 2 nights but everyone that had booked in said we could crash with them to save some cash so we crashed with the remaining few for the next 2 nights. The evening we got back we headed to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner before heading back and crashing. The next day most people were either heading to Disneyland or Universal Studios for the day, but having already been to Universal and not really ...

Chapter 4, Laguna Arts Festival Round 2

... for last, I believe it to be the largest of the 3 festivals, and by far the most rowdy - I like it.  They have different performers each week, this time we hear jazzy blue grass while walking up and down the aisles.

The second time around was a bit more relaxing, there was no pressure to see EVERYTHING!  Just the ones you like to see again.

"Right near Laguna Beach... boooyyyeeee!"

... While walking through the city, I was amazed to see how artsy it was. Everything was natural beauty, architected to near-perfection. The whole day had gone so well, and I had never felt closer to Renee. After viewing "The Dark Knight" on its opening night, we took a midnight stroll down the rocks on the beach until we found a secluded spot. I laid my coat down for Renee and just basked in that moment. Overcome with emotions and good ...

Anyway- The dates and times are changeable for free, but rerouting cost around $125. I no doubt will be making some changes, but here is my most up to date itinerary- London-3 days (Will be meeting up with Katie, who I ...

Laguna Beach: Just Like the Show

Went to Laguna Beach after Denny's... I walked on to the sand, and all I could think about seemed to be... Why I didn't get the Grand Slam Breakfast, I mean it had a greater deal than the Homerun Breakfast. Let's just say, things don't interest me unless something crazy happens. Laguna beach would have been cool, but I just couldn't take the fact that I didn't witness any annoying children getting swept into the undertoe, after which would have to ...

I Hate Flying

... in your face character like Zac. He's much more reserved, but not in a shy or restrained way. He's just not so... explosive. I can't think of anyone more suited to sitting down underneath a thatch umbrella sipping on a Mai Tai at the beach: he's so laid back, easy going and friendly. He knows so much about the local area because he's lived here for years. Everyone in town knows the guy; he's a local icon and a fixture. In short, he's freakin' cool.

How Bittersweet

... reminded Pat that the area that was urinated on was a "family area" and a place "our children play." Pat apologized, hopped in the car, turned on the engine, and said, "They didn't tell us to stay." While looking over his shoulder at the rest of the community outside of their vehicles, he mumbled, "They can look out for themselves." We sped away. No one was arrested for peeing on federal property. Phew. Tomorrow, I leave for Portland. Wednesday, I move into my apartment. Thursday ...

California , I'm coming home

... take their dogs to coffee bean than their spouces and New York ... Well , I don't think I even need to get into how different it is there. It's the microcosmos of every metropolitan city in the world. Each place though , has it's own "water culture". Hawaii has the whole surfing and hanging loose thing going on , Los Angeles has the upscale version of that where you go to the beach or peer but you shop 3rd street first and New York has more of a port ...

... to catch the hotel where "Pretty Woman" had been filmed. After that we had quite a long walk up the hills where the famous Hollywood sign is. We couldn't get very close to the sign itself, but got a view of city from the top. From there you understand how polluted this city is as you can only see a few hundred meters into the smog.
