... it rained most of the 7 hr. drive. Fortunately Gary is a good driver and we were warm, dry and comfortable in their Buick Enclave SUV (I put that in for Max's benefit because he always loves to mention the vehicles we drive in here!) Our first stop just south of San Jose was to see where Colleen & Gary's son, Kyle, is working. he was in the Marine Corps for 5 years working with helicopters and now has a job with a company that uses helicopters to place air conditioning ...

We did get a little bit wet but not half as wet as we did on the next ride! Splash Mountain! Splash really, they may as well have poured a bucket of water over us before we started. We were soaked! Really soaked!! I’m sure I have never been that wet on this ride before, and it was very kind of them to send us down the steep drop ...

Tinker bell makes an appearance as she zooms through the night sky. The fight between the two fairy godmothers in Sleeping Beauty is recreated as the sky lights blue then pink. And other classics such as Pinocchio and Mary Poppins make up the soundtrack. We leave the park feeling tired but all pretty happy. It's still my happiest place on earth.
