... up – feet! Feet are universally repulsive, covered in dry skin, fungal nails, funked up bent toes from badly fitting shoes and the list goes on. There is an advert here where shoe sellers say “I have never met a foot I could not fit” well, I have never met foot that did not make me retch. Please cover them up!
The rest of the day was spent on the long, dry, straight roads and once I had cleared the ...
Can't believe how early we had to get up this morning - 3:30am NZ time (which is 1:30am Aus time) to get to the airport.
But it was all good. Watched the Twilight movie on the plane on the way home and now i cant wait to see New Moon!
Coming through customs in Australia was funny as i had to go in the high security line due to my Maouri souviner that i brough back with me that is classified as a weapon. I was just glad that Border Security wasnt there to film me haha.
... on Saturday we just went to the pub and then to Chris’ place after that, I crashed there, we hung out on Sunday, met up with everyone, caught up on what had happened, chilled till like late afternoon – then I finally went back to Igor’s. And since then I’ve just been working as usual, Monday the vans all got exchanged for cars, cute little fast Mitsubishi Lancers, I love it!
Sales haven’t been too ...
... to pay off, I wasn't sure I was going to be able to do it. We set off at a comfortable pace and I was pretty happy to be situated near the front of the pack. Erin had to peel off early as he'd left his sunnies back at the starting point, but I figured he's such a speed demon he'd manage to catch up to us soon enough. We turned off the main road onto the gorge drive and going up a slope EVERYONE over took me. *Le sigh*
Still, the gorge was a very pretty and ...
... low prices. I am still perplexed by her about-face, as it seems to me that as Christians, (or as people in general) it makes no sense at all if we send money to third world countries to help ease their poverty, then buy from companies which create that poverty in the first place by providing poor work conditions. She did not seem to agree.

Good morning everyone.
Let's try this entry again, now that I am not stupidly tired.
I have actually seen some amazing things this week, mainly the wildlife. It has been literally jumping out in front of me, and my list of things I have seen so far includes:
A wild koala (the first wild one I have ever seen!!!)
Emus
Kangaroos (lots)
A deer (At least, I think it was a deer, it darted off into the bushes before I could get a good look)
A turtle
A big flat lizard ...
La Dolce Vita (The Sweet Life) On the weekend we set off to explore Rutherglen, Beechworth and The King Valley south of Wangaratta. First stop was Fyffe Field Wines which we had remembered from 4 or 5 years ago as having a wonderful collection of (mostly) china pigs. Apparently there are over 2,000 now- all shapes and sizes. The label on some of the wines features a pig cartoon. There was a good range of wines including "Torny Snort" with a flying pig on the ...
Beechworth, Victoria, Australia karanaThe Australian Alps are the tallest mountains in Australian but, despite their name, their height is not coming anywhere near their European counterpart; their highest peak is around 8.000 feet tall (~2,700 meters). Nevertheless, they are quite beautiful and the road to the mountains was really charming, with wide, green valleys grazed by what looked like the happiest cattle in the world. The road would be worth a trip in itself. Too bad that when we ...
Beechworth, Victoria, Australia gapostolThis is a lovely town. Beautiful Trees,Stone Buildings, historic Cemetery, Jail,!!! Bakery, Lolly Shop, etc.etc. Have a look at the Photos. We enjoyed our meals at the old Commercial Hotel too. There was also a great little drive around a gorge at the back of the town.
Beechworth, Australia jokertrekker... He definitely lives up to the hype! When we arrived at Peter's we were greated by many of Peter's family and extended family. It was Peter's 19th birthday so everyone was there to celebrate! We had a great Aussie barbeque and were filled in on the rules of Aussie Rules Football. After the party, Peter took as kangaroo hunting. We searched everywhere but finally as we were heading back to Peter's house we spotted a possum and 2 kangaroos! They all took off ...
