Blue sky again. Mike and John left this morning at 5:15 for Mike wallet. We were on the road by 7:15 looking for gas. It ended up going 50 miles. We had breakfast in the same town. I couldn't believe it but at the same time I didn't want to keep up with him as he would have made a big mess if he had a accident. ...

This is my birthday present, being with Rowan and seeing "Winslow Boy" at Northwestern. The play was very well done. The stage setting, lighting, sound, costumes, the whole play. We stayed after the audience left for a critique by a visiting professor, he had very positive opinions of the production; only a couple of ...

Iowa - from Mississippi River to Storm Lake

... too far west to go back. Too bad. I'm disappointed. Well, I'll just have to come back :-)

At Estherville, I turned onto Rt.71S - had just pulled off to call a campground, when Michael called me. Perfect timing. Good chat. Am getting anxious to see them all. Driving south the sun getting lower in the sky, illuminating the fields with such a glow. I get so taken by the patchwork of colors - greens and brown and yellows - and ...
