    Awoke to a fairly still morning today. The wind finally let up around 3am but the wind meant we didn't have to turn on the air conditioner, so that was good. Because this is desert are here, along the Columbia River on I84, it does cool off at night, but not all that cool so the wind helps.     Knowing for months ahead of time that I'd be going to Salt Lake City for Sarah's graduation ceremony and party in early May, I decided to turn the trip into a driving tour of all the mountainous regions between there and here.
