... More sailboats for Steve to drool over and scenery to ogle at. Once we got past the fjords we were in the wide North Sea and the boat started rocking. Audrey learned what a bit of seasickness felt like, but also learned that if you go out into the fresh air that makes you feel much better. The rocking helped us all get a good night's sleep for our arrival at small port town of Hirshtals the next morning at 8:30 am.

To dagar på rad diska mammo opp med deilig grillmat i hagen sin i Odda. Kotelettar, kvitløksbaguettar, grillbein, pølser, salatar og himmelsk heimelaga potetsalat var noko av det som stod på menyen. Balder fulgte godt med - det kunne jo henda nokon var slepphendte...:-)

So, for my birthday we decided to take a 20 km mountain bike ride down through the mountain of Flam. It was the best birthday present that I could have given to myself. Our first day in Norway began under grey and rainy skies. We had a great breakfast. Both here and in Denmark they serve breakfast as it ought to be. Yes, they have eggs, but they also serve cheeses, cold meats, hearty breads, fresh fruits, and an abundant spread of other items, all included in the price of the motel room.
