... the culture's very different to anything I've lived in before and the people are just so nice. My problem with Istanbul was just that everything revolved around the tourists. In Rome, the only time you'll see people dressed up trying to take you on tours is at the Colosseum. In Vienna, you'll see people dressed up as Mozart next to the Hofberg, St. Stephan's Dom and Opera House, but they make no noise and just stand there with leaflets.

... there was a waterfall cascading down into the water below. The walk along the cliff is beautiful too, as the city overlooks further land masses several kilometres away. Some of the touristy sights although pretty, were not particularly impressive. ... adventurous, Daghan informed us that a 5 hour boat trip on the Mediterranean Sea could be organized! That even though today was his day off, if sufficient people were interesting into going, he could organized the trip and join us as well! Within seconds, all of our hands were up which meant yes, yes, yes, let's go!
