Tuesday, I set out from Edson to cross the border at Cut Bank, MT. All went well that morning except for the ever present rain around Calgary. Setting off at 6 am, I had good tailwinds and smooooooth air. All went well with CBP and I gassed up and headed off to Townsend.

During the first leg, the oil pressures had been higher than normal, now they were in the yellow. I didn't like that at ...

We passed through some really quaint little towns along the way. We saw a creamery so you know we had to stop to have a scoop... or two. I saw something I hadn't seen for quite some time. They were selling milk in glass jars. Brought back some childhood memories.

... was about 10 minutes of winding, curving uphill (with barriers) and 10 more of the same going down. The engine was 'cool' with it, as it should be, but I'm sure my BP spiked considerably.

Next stop was Ketchum which serves Sun Valley. Some very expensive homes ...

... at the time as the rantings of a mad man in decline. It has since been revealed via the Freedom of Information act that he was in fact being monitored by Hoover's FBI organisation, who knows whether this was what tipped him over the edge and was a factor in his severe writers block, which is oft credited as the motive for his suicide....sad ending either way.

We then high tailed it to Hailey, about 10 miles down the road for a Mexican dinner and a movie.
