... them. We all took our dunks in this special bend in the river that winds itself around everywhere in Ketchum. The water is cold and clean and refreshing! Jake does some 180's and 360's off the bank into the river for us! Such talent in this Michael family! Timmy is Patrick's brother(Patrick is father of my two sons, Zachariah and Mercury) . I have known Timmy since we were painting pools together in Westchester County many years ago. He has become ...
Ketchum, Idaho, United States jodieandandyWe stopped right outside of Sun Valley to spend a couple days routing our next stops. First annual invitational for NADRA Western Office Golf Outing has been established! (NADRA does not yet have a Western office, but after this trip we are considering it!) Mike Beaudry and friend, Lance Meller hit up the greens of "The Big Wood".

We reluctantly turned back for home just as we had reached our destination. Once we grabbed our forgotten items at home we quickly turned around and drove to our destination, again, which was 20 minutes away. At this point the sun had gone down and the moon was almost full, which illuminated our way. The car ...

It's so beautiful here with the snow glistening in the light. Next winter we'll have to spend more time in this area. We're pretty pooped, but John wants to rage tonight with some friends. I guess we'll have more relaxation time once we arrive in the Bahamas next week.
Sun Valley, Idaho, United States alohagypsies... next morning we were back at the airport. This time Jim was flying to Sun Valley to see his brother John and go skiing, while I was flying to Oakland to visit my childhood friend Marcelle who recently had her second child named Kenza. It was great to see Marcelle and her family. We spent the time fussing over Kenza who is such a cute baby! as well as talk about the old days. She was my best friend in 7th grade and she ...
Sun Valley, Idaho, United States alohagypsiesAlthough we had thought about heading back into Yellowstone this morning, we decided against it following news that the weather was still crummy up there. Yesterday was so cold and the wind blowing such a gale that it really made it very unpleasant. So, this morning Jude took herself off to the museum in West Yellowstone whilst I uploaded some pikkies to this travel blog. It was already aafter 11.00 when we finally got away and head off ...
Hailey, Idaho, United States judencharlie... Island statue bottle of Pisco , chowing gumbo, and hooting and hollering under the Idaho moon.
The next morning after plenty of bacon we branched off into our pods and began to assault the North Wall of Thompson Peak. Lined with numerous finger couloirs the North Wall begged to be skied. Its north facing aspect preserved the recent powder and sluff management was a welcome obstacle.
The gem on the wall is the Cleaver Couloir. This 2000 vertical ...
... ground and on Monday to over four inches everywhere. Temperatures only a little above 32F. Claire and I had a disagreement at this point. Being a soft southerner I thought it easily enough to bring everything to a halt and if it was back home enough to prevent me getting work. Claire, coming from Scotland where it is always cold, considered it a mere trifle. The good bit is that we managed to see Yellowstone in two seasons within a week. Lots of lovely photo opportunities. On the ...
Jackson Hole, Wyoming, United States c_and_s_henwoodToday we got up and I saw Dusty off because he had to go back to Portland, as he was finishing up a summer school class. I left with his family in the middle of the day, and had a very bumpy flight back to Sun Valley. I used this time to reflect on my short time in B.C., as well as the thoughts of being able to do more travelling like this in the future. See you soon.... Cheers
