    Family update

A travel blog entry by clara.sayre on Aug 11, 2014

My grandma passed away peacefully surrounded by her family yesterday early afternoon. Thank you to everyone for their well wishes and prayers.

Starting with a crazy, fun sleepover at the center on July 12th to say good bye to the kids as I prepared for surprising my parents back in the U.S.

Followed by a potentially threatening and terrorizing typhoon sweeping through the Philippines on July 14-16th

Leading to consequential flight cancellations and rerouting to Manila ...

... so after we checked into the hotel we visited the Sturgis Harley Davidson in Sturgis, MI. Although we have already done the Sturgis rally in South Dakota we can now say we did Sturgis this year! On recommendation from the Harley dealer we ate dinner at a local mexican place which was very good.

Will be on the road early again tomorrow another roughly 650 miles. No real good pictures today, will post some hopefully tomorrow. ...
