Check in was smooth and friendly. The amenities are great. Our kids loved the pool. Lots of great places to eat at.

... ND, Alexandria, MN, Pickerel Lake, MN, Grand Island, NE and Mt. Juliet, TN. We drove from Grand Forks, ND toward a campground in Menomonie, WI while listening to the Vikings football game on the radio and keeping up with the Titan's score on our phones. Yea, both teams won! Great start to the season. We finally made it to the campground and hooked up about 7:00PM -- 388 miles! What was that someone said when we started that they didn't want to drive more than 300 miles on any ...

Made a grocery run for a french loaf, lunchmeats, cheese, olives, etc for a picnic at Lake Calhoun where ...

Drove northwest for 520 miles which was evenly divided between Wisconsin and Minnesota. A lot of farms in Wisconsin but surprised we didn't see more cows in the Dairy State.  Crossed the Mississippi into the eastern suburbs of St Paul at noon. Had good views of the dome of the capital in St Paul and the Minneapolis skyline.  For a long stretch in western Minnesota watched construction ...

      The longest departure EVER

... and said they did some number crunching and that we could get on. Got to the door of the plane and were asked to wait, and there was more conversation between the pilot and the flight attendant. Then with a smile she invited us on to the plane. By now the plane's departure was late, and the not-so-happy passengers looked pretty glum (and a bit shaming or blaming) as we walked past them to our exit row seats, which were still empty and waiting for us. More time passed, ...
