We are headed to Gilroy, the Garlic Capital of the World! Well...Our luck has held ...

We kept going at a snails pace and eventually we had joined a convoy of other refugees all tiptoeing through the storm. The conditions worsened and cars started sliding off the road and into ditches and into each other. This was no joke as from time to time sliding off the road would actually mean sliding over a precipice into the valley below

We had read on someone's blog that you could pick up a sub sandwich at a Subway at the exit. Uh, wrong. It's the previous exit. So if you think you might get hungry for lunch, make sure you bring it because there are no services at this exit and unless you want to go caveman on some grazing cow, well you are sol.

Including a stop for gas, it took me about an hour ...
