Not much to write about...
My only reason to come to Houston was to visit the NASA space center. Frankly, it was unimpressive at best.
Houston downtown looked very busy, huge and un-inviting and I felt very tired at the same time. So I decided not to do anything else in Houston. I checked into a motel close to NASA and crashed.

... erdem würden sie ja noch nicht mal akzeptieren, wenn zwei legal verheiratete Schwule hier ankämen, weil andere Gesetze und Sitten in Texas nicht interessieren! Cancelled flight and problem solving
... see if they would cancel our room without charging us. (United did say that they could send something to the hotel showing that our flight was indeed cancelled.) We did that (excellent hotel), then seriously considered cancelling the whole weekend. But cooler heads prevailed, and we returned to the desk to see if we could both get on the early flight to Chicago, spend the night, then arrive Austin mid-day. A note of closure
Thank you for following our program this year. I am sorry that my blog ended abruptly before our travels concluded. When we left Castellammare for Tuscany and Rome, we lost our internet access. A tip for bloggers: Keep it going. A pause all too often becomes a stop. In this case, other events conspired to keep me silent for a time.
